Canberra Tomorrow

Melbourne last weekend was super!

Met up with DJ Wei-shen ... one of the best known DJs in Mel ... and he had 2 gigs that Sat night - 1st one was @ Elemental, an asian night ... crowd was tough so he had to play more friendly tunes. Next set was at 4.30 am at Famous @ Queen Victoria Hotel where quite a few of the shufflers were in action. Anyway, the experience was good - complimentary entry and Weishen was a real nice guy too. Damn, he was driving a BMW too ... DJs in Melby are rich man!

Anyway, heading for a quick trip to Canberra tomorrow for a day trip before heading back to StinkyPore on Friday late morning. Oh well, 2 weeks passed really fast but I AM getting used to this Ozzie lifestyle hahah ...

Photos here from Melbourne, Great Ocean Road and more Sydney!

Next entry shd be in Singapore liao. So sad ...

The $1 City

Waiting to board the flight to Sydney now in Brunei airport. This afternoon, Jason & I paid $25 for a city tour which lasted 2 hours. We visited a mosque (the sultan's mosque apparantly), a photo stop for the water village, and a night market ... anyway tot $25 was quite reasonable till we realised how cost of living here is neligible ... in fact it just cost $1.

Did you know petrol only cost 0.50 per liter? Reallly cheap ... and we also found out everything here cost only $1 .. well most things.

Education is free til University.

Visits to hospitals, clinics are only .. $1.

If you need surgery in case kena some bad ass disease, it only costs .... $1. Serious.

Brunei has so much money they don't really place a value to the item according to what they're really worth anymore. Hahhaha

I guess they don't want to be seen giving away free living, so they charge services for $1

So the last stop was the night market where the tour guide said there was food to buy ... Jason + 1 ran to the stores because we only had 5 mins ... guess what? Pack of chicken rice was only $1! haha. Jason bought a pack of economical rice with 2 meat, one vegetables and it only cost $1. But the bad thing was things were sold according to items, so my skewer of 5 fishballs was also $1. Chicken wing per pc was $1. Haha .. doesnt make much sense.

I wonder how much grads are paid ...
